• GUT CHECK MAIN
This year's event would also have the participants competing as two person teams. They were to arrive at the DAC at 9am, sign in, and pick up their packet which consisted of a map of the Pittsburgh area and a checklist of waypoints. Each point was assigned a value from 50 to 1000 points based on the distance and difficulty. They were to work out their strategy for hitting as many points as possible where they would need to take a digital picture and return within 2 hours of the 10am departure. After 2 hours, they would lose 20 points per minute they were late. At 3 hours, they would lose all of their road points.

Planning routes

After checking in with the graders, the participants would have the chance to perform four exercises in the weight room. Bench press, as many reps as possible in one set, 135lbs for men, 75 for women @ 20 points each. Pull ups, 50 points per rep for men, 250 for women. A front plank and wall sit each for time on a graduated scale. For each full minute completed, the points would increase. Additional points were awarded for taking pictures of other competitors. Pictures were worth 100 points each to a maximum of 1000.
